Northfork has teamed up with Coop Sweden and SmakShare to simplify meal planning.
Through the Smakshare app, you can now turn your favorite recipes into a ready-to-buy shopping list and have everything delivered right to your door.
Niklas Zeitlin, Head of E-commerce at Coop Sweden, explains why this can make a real difference for busy families:
"We know that meal planning and shopping can be a challenge to fit into a busy schedule. Now, customers can plan meals with their recipes and get the groceries they need delivered straight to their home."
How It Works: From Recipe to Shopping List in Three Simple Steps
With the SmakShare app and Northfork’s technology, building a shopping list from your own recipes is quick and easy. Here’s how it works:
Save Your Recipes – In the SmakShare app, you can save recipes as links, images, or text. The recipes then become available to shop through Coop.
Plan Your Meals—Add the recipes you want to cook for the week. The ingredients from these recipes are automatically added to your shopping list. You can adjust for allergies and taste preferences or skip items you already have at home.
Shop on Coop – With one click, the entire shopping list transfers to Coop’s online cart. From there, you can choose home delivery or pick-up from your local Coop store.
Stina Wernersson, CEO of SmakShare, explains how the service makes shopping easier:
"Now it’s easy to turn any recipe into a shopping list, no matter where it’s from. You save your recipes in one place, and they’re instantly shoppable at Coop, making it more convenient to cook meals you want to eat."
Smart Technology for Smarter Shopping
This service is powered by Northfork’s technology, which links ingredients from saved recipes directly to Coop’s inventory. Instead of manually adding each ingredient, you can transfer everything you need in one step.
Sara Larsson, CEO of Northfork, highlights how this feature saves time:
"Our technology helps customers save a lot of time by automatically filling the cart with everything they need from a recipe. They just pick a recipe, and the cart fills itself."
